Crew Challenge 167 - Dirty Old Timers

Recommended Posts

Crew Challenge 167 – Dirty Old Timers

This is a 2 player team time trial on a mainly dirt road track in stock vehicles.  One teammate uses a Compact, the other a SUV. Customs are off and this is a PS3 track so you just get to choose from some of the older vehicles in the game. There’s no Brioso nor Contender for this one. Add up your fastest lap times for the team time.

As usual, sign up now and teams will be randomly drawn later excluding recent winning pairs (Snacks & XuTek CC 165, Snacks & Lann CC 163, Sinister & Lann CC 160).

It’s a short track, laps should be under a minute

  • PS3 RX – White Church
  • make as many attempts and do as many laps as you like
  • any weather, any time of day
  • no run ups
  • non-contact if racing with other people
  • CUSTOMS OFF
    • one player in compacts
    • one player in SUVS
      • the Dubsta 6x6 is not allowed (not really an SUV and maybe too easy to drive over the barriers)

Starts now

Ends 19:00 BST (18:00 UTC) 11th October

Please post times by 19:00 BST 13th October

Spreadsheet  https://1drv.ms/x/s!Ap5syCuQuxjRgx2RtmCnGRApoJQi

@LannI forgot to say earlier for the SUVs the Dubsta 6x6 is banned, It's not really an SUV and it may be able to drive over the barriers too easily in it.

I’ll throw my name in the hat.  It’ll give me a reason to play a bit each day.

We obviously need to sign up @JustHatched and @Dodge as a team for this Dirty Old Timers.

They are of course exactly who I had in mind when I came up with the title.

Time to make the draw, excluded pairs are Snacks & Lann and Sinister & Lann

Pools drawn at random

  • Me, LadyA, Omar, Sinister, Schumi
  • Beez, Snacks, Lann, Ally, Con

Randomise those, draw 1st from each pool together, etc.

and the teams are ….

anyone else wants to take part please feel free to arrange your own teams

Just a reminder,

customs are off

one of you use a SUV (Dubsta 6x6 is not allowed) the other use a compact

no need to say who is using each car now if you don't want to, use both and decide on your best combination at the end if that's what you prefer

@Schumi6581 nice to be on your team and congrats on the upcoming win. Do you have a preference of Compact or Suv, or should we try them both?

Awesome!!! don't think I have ever been paired up with you @djw180. As per usual, you choose the car class first and I will take the other one. So let me know when you have made a decision so I can start my runs.

I was going to have a go with both, I've no idea which is the better one for me. Do you fancy trying both out as well? We can decide later which to focus on.

Since you tend to have better times than me in the challenges, I will leave it up to you to pick the car. I was planning on testing both out in the small chance that i have a breakthrough or something. Will keep you notified.

@no_snacks let’s do this!  :)

Seeing as 1st place has already been decided, I think we've got a decent shot at 2nd or 3rd, mate.

I'm happy to run both classes and we can finalise the details later in the week.  :)
