I would love to do a Cannonball Run race in GTA IV style some day.

Broughy’s Gfred is a nice one to play and well known. I also made a shorter Cannonball Run a while ago:

http://rsg.ms/2f0c806

I assume this done as GTA, traffic on, start on cycles, steal a car, no killing each other?

Yes, exactly.

These races start on a cycle or on foot and you can grab a car from a certain point from an NPC and race from checkpoint to checkpoint, choosing your own route.

Settings:

Race Type: Point To Point GTA
Class: Cycles
Time of Day: Current
Weather: Current
Traffic: On
Wanted Levels: Off
Catchup: Off
Slipstream: Off
Camera Lock: None
Destroy Last Place: Off

Rules:

No motor bikes
No parachutes, jets, planes or helicopters
No killing
No shooting
No taking people out

  • @Lann do you want us to try your Ice Climbing capture?

Yes, I have almost given up on the idea, but since you ask it would be nice to see if its any fun trying to climp high up while nokotas trying to take you out.

I've not included any of those new jobs Proto had last night. But I'm happy to put any of them in if they could do with another run through.

Any other requests?

All 3 jobs have been tested enough, if the DMs are to be played again it should be with larger numbers (12+), otherwise I'd prefer that the Creator Event jobs weren't overplayed before the actual event - just enough to see that they work and that has been done already. After the Anniversary weekend everyone can run them as much as they like, but before the event has happened, I'll have to ask to avoid playing them to have them still feel fresh and new during the "We Are XDBX" event itself (especially since a number of attendees will probably be the same people who have already helped test them once or twice).

Instead, if I manage to finish my job tonight, could you add that one to the PL for testing, please?

True Proto. I noticed they had all been updated in the last week, otherwise I wouldn't have included them. But if they are fully tested then yes, there's no need for another. Smurf has specifically asked me to put his in, but did you do that last night?

Is this WoW open for others than crew?

Yes, if we know they follow our racing etiquette, listen for host instructions etc, etc. If it ever fills up crew get priority (highly unlikely).

Anyone who is a site member should be able to RSVP for this and I would prefer they did that. But if not they can let me know some other way they want to join then I can plan the jobs based on the numbers turning up.

Most were only just published this last week and yes, we ran Smurfs job again last night - SMG as starting weapon and more pickups worked nicely. :)

Thanks DJ, you might wanna give this a whirl...

It’s a Zelda themed Capture based on Breath of the Wild...

it might be a load of crap but it might be absolutely awesome

http://rsg.ms/476a6e2

Jump on your horse (bike) and ride to the Tower to collect the Triforce and take it back to your Shrine. Machetes only and some Gerrudo babes defending the Tower.

I have a race for Fido too, won’t finish it until tonight though :(

For this week's Wow I was thinking of doing some sort of highlights package from the Anniversary Weekend. PSN problems meant many of us probbaly missed jobs we would have liked to have done or were simply at times were sleeping (intentionally or not). This is your chance to have a go at them or just re-play a favourite.

So please request any job you'd like.

If I can find them I'll try to post links to the playlists if you want to have a look at

DiRT 4 came out on PS4 in June 2017 and it's a rally game different from it's predecessor DiRT Rally. It caters more to players not very familiar with rallying or just looking for a casual rally experience (much like what you could find from DiRT 3), but has plenty of different modes and gameplay improvements to make it fun for anyone.
[DiRT 4 is on sale on the US PS Store for $14.99 until May 22!
DiRT 4 is currently on sale on the UK and EU PS Store for a mere £24 for PS Plus members until 23/11/17 11:59pm]
      Main features of DiRT 4:
There's a choice between Arcade and Simulation handling mechanics and one can easily switch between the two at any time between rally events should they wish to do so. The stage rallies have a feature called "Your Stage" that creates custom rally stages using certain settings and parameters chosen by the player or generated randomly, which means that there's a huge amount of partly similar (stages are made of bits and pieces and the same pieces show up in different parts of different custom stages), but unique rally stages in the game. There's a rich progressive singleplayer career mode, an optional fun trial mode "joyride" (returning from DiRT 3), a fully customisable lobby multiplayer mode "jam session" for all the available rally types, a competitive stage rally MP mode "Pro Tour", daily/weekly/monthly events with leaderboards & big cash rewards, and a solo practice session where you can hone your skills with any car you want. You can also build your own team, pick sponsors, create your team livery and use your personal rally cars in almost every game mode. There's plenty of livery and sponsor options as well as enough space in your garage for over 100 vehicles (after a few upgrades). Loan cars are available for use at all times if you want to try the cars out before you buy a personal one. Earning cash is a much faster process than it is in DiRT Rally, with also more vehicles and team facilities to spend it on. DiRT 4 also has a pretty damn good soundtrack for a rally game.

      Available Rally Types and Locations:
      Stage Rally, Historic Rally:
Fitzroy, Australia Tarragona, Spain Värmland, Sweden Michigan, USA Powys, Wales Footage: all the outrageous things that can happen in one rally stage:

      Rallycross:
Lydden Hill, England Höljes, Sweden Hell, Norway Montalegre, Portugal Lohéac, France
      Landrush (stadium truck/buggy racing):
California, USA Nevada, USA Baja, Mexico Footage: buggy racing:

Landrush vehicles: Speedcar Xtrem (crosscart), Larock 2XR Buggy, Jackson Pro-Truck 2, Jackson Pro-Truck 4

Personally, I love both DiRT 4, which is an immensely fun high-quality rally game, and DiRT Rally, which offers tons of enjoyment through a very authentic rally simulation. I continue to play both and would love to play either with any of you from time to time if you have or decide to get either DiRT game.

[ UPDATED: DiRT Rally is on sale on the UK/EU PS Store for £11.99 (or the € equivalent) until May 24 & on the US PS Store for $11.99 (or $13.99 for the VR Bundle) until May 22! ]

"DiRT Rally is the most authentic, challenging and thrilling rally game ever made, road-tested over 80 million miles by the DiRT community. It captures the essence of what makes rally unique like no other game: that white knuckle feeling of racing on the edge; trying to remain in control of your emotions as you hurtle along dangerous, undulating roads at breakneck speed, aiming to squeeze everything out of your car whilst knowing that one crash could irreparably harm your stage time.
It’s the ultimate test of a driver’s skill, and the ultimate in high risk, high reward gameplay.
The first time you play DiRT Rally may be a little daunting. Not many drivers finish their first race without a crash, and even fewer will win their first event. The game is designed from the ground up to be an authentic simulation of real world rally. The good news for you is, real world driving techniques are applicable to every section of every stage in the game.
A better understanding of rally driving techniques will lead you to become naturally faster as you gain confidence and understanding of the car you are driving and the surfaces that you are driving on. It is much easier to add speed to a good technique."
Couldn't have said it better myself. Long story short: DiRT Rallly is probably the best rally racing simulation game out there. Brilliant mechanics and physics, beautiful graphics, great collection of iconic rally cars of past and present, plenty of different locations and game modes. Even the best racers can often make mistakes in rally and that's the beauty of the sport.

      Available Rally Types:
      Rally
      Hillclimb
      Rallycross

      Game Modes:
      Championships (SP career)
"Start out at the bottom and work your way to the top of the rally world. Hire a crew chief and engineers to build your competitive edge as you race the most iconic cars from rally history across the rally, hillclimb and rallycross disciplines."

      Online Events
"Take on the DiRT Rally community via Daily, Weekly and Monthly RaceNet challenges to earn in-game currency rewards or take to the track in online multiplayer rallycross races."
The online challenges are a great way to try out different vehicles in different locations and in different conditions.

      Leagues
"Get together with friends and run your very own racing league, or join an existing one within the vibrant DiRT Rally community. You can join as many leagues as you like and they are fully customisable all the way down to the weather conditions."
This is the mode we could make the most use of on the crew scale, organise crew rally championships.
      XDBX DiRT Rally League: https://www.dirtgame.com/leagues/league/102999/xdbx-casual

Locations: Monaco, Wales, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Greece, England (RX), Norway (RX), USA (Hillclimb)

Some iconic cars from the game: Mini Cooper S, Renault Alpine A110, Ford Escort MK II, Lancia Stratos, Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, Audi Sport quattro Rallye, Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2, Subaru Impreza 2001, Ford Focus RS Rally 2001, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, Volkswagen Polo Rally (2010s), Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak, Audi Sport quattro S1 PP

Some official hints and tips for the game: https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/about#hints_tips
The only thing I personally kind of dislike about the game is that you can't drive a specific rally car unless you've purchased it and that process can take a lot of time and trial & error, because earning money is rather slow in the beginning and you don't really know which car suits you best until you've bought them and tried them out. It's a very small issue overall, though.

Verdict: DiRT Rally is a must-have for any true rally fan and rally simulation enthusiast, but if you're a casual gamer and/or mainly an arcade racer just looking to try out rally racing for a change, you should look into getting DiRT 4 instead. There is nothing arcade-y about this DiRT game - it's all about simulating the real thing.

I'm already running an XDBX league in DiRT Rally, so if you have the game, do let me know! Skill level doesn't matter at all, just looking at having a fun time together!

Here's a taste of what the game is like:

      Rallycross (RX):
