The TBC are available for anyone who wants to host a one off event. They will include the monthly Whacky Races on the 22nd or 29th. Any other weeks without a guest host I will fill in with a mixed playlist.

The Sultan RS Cup! 

Wednesday August 9th
20:00 BST/19:00 UCT

One of the best cars in the game in my opinion, but due to the fact C* put it in the wrong class it rarely gets raced.
This is a shame as it handles brilliantly and is very fun to drive!

But now you have the chance to race it competitively for one night only. Welcome to the Sultan RS Cup!

To clarify, you will need a Karin Sultan RS  (Super class, 2 door, bennified version)
It may be fully modded and customised however you like but no off road tyres.
(It will be an all tarmac affair)

The night will consist of a playlist of 5-6 medium length races (10-15mins each)
All using our Sultan RS's.

The tracks will be a mix of street tracks and realistic stunt prop tracks. (No actual 'stunt' tracks with jumps etc)

The playlist will be posted in advance once sorted.

Format

The night will start with a brief freemode meetup to show off our cars.

(Don't worry if you can't make the 20:00 BST start time just join when you can, we have alot to get through and don't want it going on too late)

There will be no qualifying to save time, but we will be shuffling the grid for each race, you won't start from the same place every race. So don't race from the start.

Racing Rules

No kerb boosting. Let me clarify this though. Going over the kerbs on the inside and outside of corners on the racing line is ok. Weaving on and off kerbs down the straights is certainly not!

I shouldn't have to say this but race clean at all times. No pitting, weaving, using the car in front as a brake etc...

Some of the tracks used will be tight street tracks so please be patient when trying to overtake, no 'dive bombing' into corners...

If being overtaken give racing room. If your opponent is more than half a car length inside you, you must concede, don't cut them off. Likewise if going for an overtake and you are not atleast half a car length inside, back off.

No one is perfect and mistakes happen. If you do accidentally take someone out you must slow down and let them take their position back.

To help with this using the farthest away camera and extended map is advised.

The night will begin as contact racing but I will switch to non-contact if poor driving standards are seen or people start bitching....

Above all else this is intended to be a fun race night, not 'serious' racing and players of all skill levels are welcome. But if you like to kerb boost, double-clutch, ram other cars etc. then go race elsewhere...

@Mythaga - I should be OK for the 8pm start (wife's going out :) ).

I may need someone to remind me to switch to my other character and change the wheels. I've only used my Sutlan for actual off road races.

This weeks it's a Wet and Wild playlist. Jobs on the theme of water. Here's some that will be included

  • H200,  R* stunt race just above the sea
  • Hyrdoplane!, land race designed to be done with rain on
  • On Crimson Pond - TDM set on and around the pond in Mirror Park
  • Tataviam - LTS sniping across the Resovoir
  • plus other similar water related races, DMs and of course a couple of boat races

Possible change of plan for tomorrow. I'm guessing many people will prefer playing with their new planes or doing smuggling stuff. So we can just have a free roam session doing that instead. The Wet 'n' Wild PL can wait for another time.

If you RSVP can you say which you'd prefer to do please?

The PL I had planned needs a minium of 6 so it's looking like that will be postponed. If there are a couple of us we can job hop with randoms, do Smuggling runs (I'm happy to help others, I made enough money off MC businesses to keep me going a while), or I can put together a PL of jobs for few players.

Wet n Wild may not be cancelled. I can include the Icebergs DM from the H2H instead of the job that needed 6 players. It certainly fits the theme.

I've got two land races that I think work with rain on. I could maybe fit another short one in.

With low numbers an LTS I had planned and TDMs may not work. So anyone know of any DMs based around water?

Nothing specific planned for this week. I was thinking of maybe doing a mixed PL with R* jobs at the beginning to get randoms in. We could use it just to advertise the crew.

Myth you mentioned wanting to do another VANS/XDBX banger night, last one was good fun, a Wednesday would be a good day for it, can you guys check when you don't have a TG or another event planned and we can organise this before we forget lol

Sounds good... what about getting a few other crews in too? Especially if you have made some friends in CotC.

I think we would have to tweak things and maybe just use Stock Cars, 4 teams of 6 might work. Just an idea. If not how we went last time worked really well.

      Couldn't have said it better myself. Long story short: DiRT Rallly is probably the best rally racing simulation game out there. Brilliant mechanics and physics, beautiful graphics, great collection of iconic rally cars of past and present, plenty of different locations and game modes. Even the best racers can often make mistakes in rally and that's the beauty of the sport.

      This is the mode we could make the most use of on the crew scale, organise crew rally championships.

      The only thing I personally kind of dislike about the game is that you can't drive a specific rally car unless you've purchased it and that process can take a lot of time and trial & error, because earning money is rather slow in the beginning and you don't really know which car suits you best until you've bought them and tried them out. It's a very small issue overall, though.
       
      Verdict: DiRT Rally is a must-have for any true rally fan and rally simulation enthusiast, but if you're a casual gamer and/or mainly an arcade racer just looking to try out rally racing for a change, you should look into getting DiRT 4 instead. There is nothing arcade-y about this DiRT game - it's all about simulating the real thing.
       
      I'm interested in organising and starting an XDBX league in DiRT Rally, so if you have the game, do let me know! Skill level doesn't matter at all, just looking at having a fun time together!

      Description of Event: 
      A mixed racing playlist. Different classes on mostly street surface, some dirt; crew and community created tracks, mostly non-contact, ... could well feature a staggered start race or two as well. A little bit of everything for everyone. Should take around 1.5h, give or take 10-15mins.
      I'll get the PL ready on the day of the event, definitely have few new tracks to try out, but it will feature few well known tracks, at least for the staggered start part.

      What it is:
      A bi-weekly endurance race based on real world tracks mirroring the real life Porsche Supercup. http://www.porsche.com/international/motorsportandevents/motorsport/customerracing/porschecups/pmsc/
      When it is:
      It will be held Monday evenings on alternate weeks to my Monday Madness event, it will also fall on the Monday where there's isn't a Sunday Racing League event the day before. 
      How does it work:
      The event will consist of a 3 lap non contact qualifying session followed by a contact race of approximately 30 minutes in length. If possible I will try get duplicate tracks made so a small 2 track playlist can be made, if not possible I will host the qualifying session and then the race separately.  
      The order for the feature race start will be determined by the finishing order of the qualifying race. The race itself will be run over a distance of approximately 70km. In each case this distance is converted into a certain number of laps for the classification round(s) and indicated for each event in the Supplementary Event Regulations.
      The race will have a warm up lap not included in the total race distance where the cars can get into their qualifying position followed by a rolling start for lap two. Pole sitter must maintain a reasonable speed on the warm up lap to allow for the pack to form behind them, full racing speed can start on the final turn of lap 1 but no overtaking until you have crossed the start line. 
      Point Scoring:
